The Introduction (150 Points) The purpose of this assignment is to develop a rigorous and scholarly introduction to your research project. You will prepare an introduction anchored in the deficiencies model of an introduction (Creswell & Creswell, 2018) that focuses on research gaps or inconsistencies in research findings. Your paper will have five components: research problem, review of scholarly studies that dealt with the research problem, articulate the deficiencies in previous scholarly articles, highlights the significance of your study, and the purpose statement. You are required to submit a paper which is no longer than 3-4 pages, 12 point, Times New Roman, double-spaced, one-inch margins.
Grading Criteria:
The introduction is to demonstrate your sound grasp of the research topic. The instructor will evaluate your proposal based on two criteria: (a) overall scholarly writing and (b) use of the five components of the deficiencies model of an introduction.
