Bounce Forward Final Project Instructions

Overview

The
Bounce Forward Final Project
Assignment (BFFP) is not a high-level academic experience but an evolving, experiential pursuit of growing in favor with God in a specific way (e.g., attentive, considerate, etc.,) at a specific time (e.g., over the course of 60 days), in a specific relational context (e.g., wife-husband, father-son). The structure permits add-ons during implementation.

Instructions

Your Bounce Forward Final Project should include:

· Title Page

· Table of Contents

· Introduction:

· A prioritized Guiding Purpose Statement
(“Seeking to be a follower of Christ, I am committed to becoming an attentive spouse.”) with a concise description of primary and functional purpose.

· A concise, research-based rationale for the GPS and its relational application.

· Operational definition for growing in favor with God and others.

· The Story-Tuning Process of Being and Becoming like Christ in a predetermined relational context.

· Phase 1 – Describe the Present Story: the Me I See NOW.

Against the backdrop of a Guiding Purpose Statement, utilize the symphonic narrative of personhood (i.e., physical, psychological, spiritual, relational) to describe the present story.

Key words and sources from the course to convey meaning: character, the Me I Don’t Want to Be vs. the Me God Wants Me to Be, relocation/dislocation, flourishing, languishing, healthy, unhealthy, strengths, shortcomings, gaps, gap management, helpful/harmful patterns/practices, sin, flesh, flow-makers, flow-breakers, hobby time/no hobby time, Christ’s Preeminent Resources, textbooks, SnapShots, presentations, relational style(s), etc.

TIP: Describe not Prescribe…this is not the place to critique, correct, fix…just simply describe what is noticeable.

· Phase 2 – Develop the Preferred Story: the Me I Want to Be SOON (i.e., imagine/picture its reality).

Against the backdrop of a Guiding Purpose Statement, utilize the symphonic narrative of personhood (i.e., physical, psychological, spiritual, relational) to develop a realistic preferred story (i.e., achievable within 60 days).
